How did we let this Yahoo slip under a black robe?

Walker is actually a rather conservative judge on other issues; he is one of the more business-friendly federal judges in California. He was originally nominated to a judgeship by Ronald Reagan; the Democratic-majority Senate refused to confirm him because they said he was anti-gay(!). (In private practice, he had represented the U.S. Olympic Committee in a suit against the Gay Olympics for trademark infringement). He was eventually successfully nominated by G.H.W. Bush.

Rather ironic case, given the culture in which the Olympics first originated....
