This morning at DFW Airport, George and Laura Bush greeted 150 (very surprised) troops as they arrived home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Their expressions were so priceless!

Confession - they made me cry.

I have had the high honor of welcoming thousands of those troops since 2004.

A neat story about President Bush...one of the gals out there who has been there almost every day since the R & R flights started and has done an incredible job of raising money for disabled troops was being honored along with some other folks in the White House. The President asked is there was anyone from Texas and Donna replied yes...they chatted for a few minutes and she asked him: “Mr President why don’t you come up and welcome home the troops sometime when you are at the ranch”....and his reply was...I would love the opportunity, but the inconvenience I would cause the airport and traveling public by my being there just wouldn’t be worth it...

He was a busy guy the last few days...He was at the Rangers game last night and today out there greeting the troops.

Oh how I miss that man as our President....

A BTT. The Thanksgiving in Iraq clip still gives me goosebumps.

Brings tears to my eyes.

He reminds me what I miss in our country now....and that our troops are left so high and dry by this administration.:(

I know EXACTLY what the soldiers were all thinking the moment they saw GWB.. “A President worthy of respect!”

Confession - they made me cry.

You and a whole lot of other pro-military conservatives.

We have gone from the best to the worst when it comes to CinC's.

Our troops have lost so much, and this reminder is painful.

God BLESS President Bush! God bless and protect our troops!

Some serious HUMOR!

President Obama was having that one, lone brief conversation with General McChrystal about Afghanistan .

Things were obviously not going the way the General had hoped. Obama could sense this, and told him, “I bet when I die, you’ll piss on my grave.”

To which General McChrystal answers, “No sir, I’ve always said that when I get out of the Army, I’ll never again wait in another line.”

We all know this has been posted before, BUT

in a time of so much dreary and depressing news, it’s nice to repeat the good.

Looks like the MTB SingleTrack has been good for W.

Good for him. Glad to see he’s in good health.

It’s the little things like this that make it hard not to like the guy.
