A good chunk of the firearms and ammo industry has been being bought up over the last few years. I don’t think that control in a few places is going to be a good thing, it makes the companies more vulnerable for government targeting.

Cerberus was able to inject capital into the small firms it acquired. The combined firms are much more able to expand and compete in the world firearms market. The Chrysler buy was sunk by the recession and by the inability to adjust to the market turn away from mini-vans and big pickups. Cerberus lost almost 100% of its money in Chrysler when the government sucked up the company.
