The conventional wisdom these days is that the best shot for Democrats heading into the November elections in marginal districts is for the president to raise money and lower his profile. Just send checks. Events after 7 p.m. Closed to the press. This is not an election Democrats want to "nationalize." Better to keep it local. Better to run as your own man or woman, not as the president's best friend.
Republicans, by contrast, will spend as much time as they can running against the president. If his popularity is down to his base (low 40s), that means voters in the middle are up for grabs, and Republicans will try to grab them by capitalizing on their concerns about the man they elected two years ago.
There are two chinks in the conventional wisdom.
The first, on the Democratic side, reflects the reality that a president can't really disappear, even if he tries to, and in this president's case, the act of trying may make people mad enough to want to send him a message. I'm thinking here of the president's forthcoming vacation to Martha's Vineyard, one of those terrible decisions that has even his strongest supporters shaking their heads. Why is he going to Martha's Vineyard?
For vacation. Because he likes it. Because he knows people there, has friends there, enjoys himself there.
I'm from Massachusetts. I was in my 30s the first time I ever set foot in Martha's Vineyard. Elite. Fancy. Expensive. Hard to get to. The Estrich family from Lynn considered Nantasket Beach exotic. Martha's Vineyard might as well have been an island off of Spain.

The libs have painted 0bamao as very intelligent, but in over 18 months in office, I've yet to see ANYTHING that indicated he was even smart. He has to be the stupidist SOB ever to sit in the White House. A look at his transcripts will probably confirm this.
He “get’s it”, he just doesn’t care. His agenda at this point seems to be inflicting damage so severe that it cannot be undone.
Just yesterday I had this thought that this guy has to know he is a one-term goner ... if he is not impeached first.
He is going to live it up, while bankrupting this nation, because he’s never cared for this place, nor do I think he feels any real connection to it.
He is going to leave the country. He is most assuredly going to move to Kenya and live off some laundered money that he is racking up right now, while we are busy for 30 years repairing his damage, he thinks there wont be any time to connect the dots showing how he purposely set this up to enrich himself and his cronies. When we do, he will be safe in a nation where he has paid off the head of state goon so that they wont ship him back to the U.S. for trail.
It’s the only sane theory I can think of.
It’s going to take several cleaning companies to get Our White House clean, if ever.
Libs will declare ANYONE who is liberal in elected office to be “brilliant”, not due to any proof, but because the individual liberals want to think of THEMSELVES as brilliant.
Of course, they claim to not know who Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, and Cynthia McKinney are.

Generally Estrich defends the President. The fact that even she sees how detached he is means that he is bleeding democrats.
The last sentence in Estrich’s article is so ironic:
“Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but in tough times, even more so than in good times, it makes sense to have someone who knows what they’re doing, whether you’re hiring someone to fix the pipes or fix the country.”
So why did the Dems fool the country into electing a one/third term Senator who’s experience is voting “present” and the abilitiy to read a teleprompter fullof lies.

This is where we are making a huge mistake- thinking he want to help this country.
He has no intention of doing anything to help this country that does NOT involve implementing socialism and probably sharia law.
