My candidate won and he promises to work on overturning it.

Much more power than all the 7.62mm that's been stockpiled since November 2008.
The Federal government simply CANNOT dissolve or neutralize a State which exercises its authority properly .
The problem is that State governments have become atrophic - but they should in theory be easier to take over than Congress.

Unfortunately an amazing number of people don’t even know who their state reps are, let alone what they’re up to.
People scream about unions and democrats in Michigan but few have any clue that it was a republican and several republican co sponsors who introduced the bill that forced the unionization of home care workers. Just the other day another republican here introduced a resolution calling for a constitutional ban on drilling for oil and gas under the great lakes.
One of the most irritating things is people whining about the feds taking the power away from the states. The reality is that the states have mostly sold their rights in return for a share of the federal pie.
I for one am not impressed with how much money a congressman brings into the district. I’m far more impressed with a congressman who seeks to keep the money in the district where the revenue is generated.
NBC Nightly didn’t give it a mention. Not 5 seconds’ worth...
Even if the Republicans DO win 65 house seats, how do we know they will not blow their chance again to lead? The GOP has a self-destruct suicidal tendency.
