Yesterday, several hundred troops came home from Iraq to Smyrna, Tennessee. Our son was among them. My nephew comes home today. They have been gone since February. We are very happy to have them home but I do wonder what Obama is up to.
The drawdown is underway.
Operation Iraqi Freedom ends in less than a month and Operation New Dawn (sounds like a 70s musical group) begins.
For all intents and purposes, this has not really been a combat operation for the past year or so.
