SAN DIEGO – Shirley Sherrod, the black federal official who was forced to resign last week after a conservative website posted a selectively edited video of her, said Thursday that President Barack Obama "needs a little lesson" in race relations.
Speaking to the National Association of Black Journalists, Sherrod also said she planned to sue the blogger who posted the misleading video.

Is she referring to Breitbart? Could that be the whole object of this stupid little vignette? Or perhaps just an interesting bit of fallout.

There ia no doubt in my mind that obamma approved of this firing. A white dept manager, working in the black obamma administration, cannot fire a black employee without obamma’s okay, especially one that had the media’s attention. And now obamma is telling everyone the manager went too far, as if he did not have anything to do with it.

The democrats are busily trying to smooth things over with the white voters they’ve alienated over the past couple of years and Sherrod just keeps popping up to keep RACISM! alive.

It wasn’t selectively edited. In fact it wasn’t edited at all. It was a section taken directly out of the full video - not cut and pasted, not rearranged - at worst it was out of context but it wasn’t selectively edited. And it wasn’t even meant to illustrate anything about Sherrod - it was meant to so the racism of the NAACP.
Blogging is the new media, and the 1st amendment decisions of the past century make it possible to run with stories in ways that others might not carry them.
There is no way that Breitbart, even if selective, was reckless or criminally negligent in reporting on an ACTUAL section of verbiage that WAS in that tape.
If it were any other media outlet, I think they’d not worry about the outcome of such a lawsuit. However, given the Clinton judge who ruled on Arizona’s law, it’s possible that more partisanship will rule on this decision, too.
Judges really need to lose lifetime appointments. They are as partisan as any overt politician.
