Rather, it's a pack in, keeping Marshall Davis' teachings alive and well.
I always “opt out” when they try to put me through the scanner. It takes a little more time for me, and a lot of effort for the TSA guys to pat down, wand and take swabs.
When I tell the TSA guy doing the searching that it’s a matter of principle, they have all seemed to understand, if not agree.
You need to remember the TSA was created as a way to put people who were on welfare, on the government payroll.
“When Americans are willing to fly even if it means Government hacks looking at them naked, then we have already lost.”
Even most Freepers think it is great and scanners are hunky dorey. Fascism is good, ya know. A right to privacy only exists for abortions.
Do you feel lucky, punkette?... LOL
Ya. That would be cool, especially if it made the news.
Agreed. Very sad what this country is becoming.
My sentiments exactly, if I cant drive there Im not going.
Right after the September 11, 2001 attacks, one of the TV networks (CBS?) ran a feature on some people who were stranded when all flights were grounded, and wanted to know how to get home.
Solution: they drove.
One group of people all worked for the same company. They hired a rental car, got in, and left.
There were also two men, total strangers to each other, who ended up driving across the country together.
One of these people commented (paraphrased), "It's still a free and great country, we can still drive anywhere we want."
I salute you, sir! I have you beat a little (October 2000 was the last time I got on a plane), but we both understand that flying is unsafe. It's only a matter of time until the next tragedy if some of the comments about how hard the terrorists are working are true.
