Obama urged to engage in direct, high-level dialogue with N. Korea
By Hwang Doo-hyong
WASHINGTON, July 27 (Yonhap) -- A senior U.S. senator Tuesday called on the Obama administration to engage in direct high-level dialogue with North Korea to break the impasse on nuclear talks and ease heightening tensions after the North's sinking of a South Korean warship.
Speaking to a forum here to mark the anniversary of the armistice signed at the end of the 1950-53 Korean War, Senator John Kerry (D-MA), called for "engaging in direct, candid, high-level dialogue" with North Korea with the goal being "to test whether North Korea is prepared to take concrete steps to return to the path of denuclearization and peace." Kerry, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, also demanded that the Obama administration "remain equally ready to pursue a peaceful, negotiated solution to the underlying security challenges that have kept the Korean Peninsula locked in a Cold War for far too long, even as we are fully prepared to deter and defend against any North Korean aggression, a fact underscored by upcoming joint military exercises and the delay of the planned transfer of wartime operational control to South Korea."

P!
LOL...yeah, like thats gonna work
Uh Uh I am the one you have been waiting for
Maybe he can play a round of golf with lil Kim.
Both of them will get 18 hole-in-ones.
Seriously though, why? Look how well that has turned out before. The NK's MO seems to be create a crisis, enter in some negotiations (in bad faith), wrest some concessions from SK, the US, and/or the UN, then blithely ignore their part of the bargain and do what they {expletive}-well please. This generally leads to another crisis, where they will enter into negotiations...
Hey hussein, how many times are you going to let Lucy pull the football away?
I hope Kerry doesn’t expect Obumbler to engage in “direct high-level dialogue”, as he is completely lost without scripted questions & teleprompters.
there was a dog, he had name and LAMO was his NAMO....
L-A-M-O, L-A-M-O, L-A-M-O,
and LAMO was his NAMO..
Maybe we can get Kerry to dock his boat in Pyongang, you know, to break the ice.
"Shortly after taking office in 1985, Kerry and Senator Tom Harkin of Iowa went on a fact-finding trip to Nicaragua, where they met with Daniel Ortega (right) and other Sandinistas. The trip was criticized when the Sandinistas cemented ties with Moscow."

Let’s hope the teleprompter isn’t in the shop....
"Under questioning from the Committee, Kerry referred to the democratically elected government of South Vietnam -- our allies -- as a "dictatorial regime, the Thieu-Ky-Khiem regime," while respectfully calling the North Vietnamese communist regime we were fighting by its oxymoronic official name, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, and the murderous Viet Cong's political arm by their preferred "Provisional Revolutionary Government.":

June, 1970 -- Kerry joins Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), a national veterans group that is part of the Peoples Coalition for Peace and Justice. The PCPJ is a broad coalition of local and national organizations, including the Communist Party, USA, "committed to conducting demonstrations aimed at ending the war in Indochina, and poverty, racism and injustice at home." The VVAW, CCI and PCPJ all have headquarters at 156 Fifth Avenue in New York City. VVAW Executive Secretary Al Hubbard, a former Black Panther, is also on the coordinating committee of the PCPJ. Hubbard soon appoints Kerry to the VVAW's Executive Committee, bypassing the normal election process.

Fact: The Black Panthers were revolutionary communists...
From the Maoist Internationist Movement:
[1960s/original] Black Panther Party [BPP] Archives
From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROS
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [i.e., the police].
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:
"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."

John Kerry and the VVAW--Hanoi's American Puppets?
"Two recently discovered documents captured from the Vietnamese communists during the Vietnam War strongly support the contention that a close link existed between the Hanoi regime and the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) while John Kerry served as the group's leading national spokesman."

Yeah, great advice. Captain Dipsh$t has a thought. Listen to him! He’s so real and understanding. He just bought a 74 foot yacht in the middle of Great Depression II. Yeah, he gets it.
These people are embarrassing.
Umm.. the Norks just sank a warship killing 46 people. They were testing us, and you are failing. Quit reporting for dooty and retire already!
Love swerving into any thread with Kerry being mentioned. Beside the generally stupid ideas he has, like this one, I love all the Swift-boating, fun pics and articles that pop up. I also love seeing this phony Boston Brahman get the sh*t kicked out him. What a complete horses ass.
This Kary fellow. Didn’t he serve in Korea?
Mr Irrelevant is just rying to deflect attention from his new yacht state tax dodge.....
Isaac: Has anybody read that
nazis are going to march in New Jersey, you know? I
read this in the newspaper, we should go down there, get
some guys together, you know, get some bricks and
baseball bats and really explain things to them.”
Man: “There was this devastating satirical piece on that on the op-ed
page of the Times. It is devastating.”
Isaac: “Well, well, a satirical piece in the Times is one thing, but
bricks and baseball bats really gets right to the
point.”
Woman: “Oh, but really biting satire is always better than physical
force.”
Isaac: “No, physical force is always better with nazis. Cos
it’s hard to satirize a guy with shiny boots.” ~ Woody Allen/Manhattan
The pics and articles are to show/remind that John Fonda Kerry has always had a warm spot in his heart for communist regimes.
