Heritage Action Encourages Them to Stand With Americans
Washington, D.C. Last month, Heritage Action for America launched a national campaign to repeal Obamacare. Since then, 153 Republicans have signed onto Discharge Petition #11, which would force the U.S. House to vote on repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Twenty-five House Republicans have not yet signed onto the repeal effort.
In March, every single House Republican stood on the side of the American people and voted against Obamacare, Heritage Actions CEO Michael A. Needham said. A serious repeal effort is gaining momentum in the House. Now is the time for these 25 Republicans to join that effort and repeal this intolerable act.
I fully expect every Member who opposed Obamacare to sign Discharge Petition #11, Needham continued. If not, they are implicitly supporting Obamacare. I know their constituents, who will be attending town halls this August, are eager to hear where they stand on the repeal effort.
The following Republicans have not yet signed Discharge Petition #11:
Don Young (Alaska)
Mike Castle (Delaware)
Ginny Brown-Waite (Florida)
Lincoln Diaz-Balart (Florida)
Mario Diaz-Balart (Florida)
Adam Putnam (Florida)
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (Florida)
Mark Kirk (Illinois)
Steve Buyer (Indiana)
Charles Boustany (Louisiana)
Anh Joseph Cao (Louisiana)
Dave Camp (Michigan)
Mike Rogers (Michigan)
Dean Heller (Nevada)
Pete King (New York)
Steven C. LaTourette (Ohio)
Patrick J. Tiberi (Ohio)
Charlie Dent (Pennsylvania)
Jim Gerlach (Pennsylvania)
Tim Murphy (Pennsylvania)
Joe Barton (Texas)
Doc Hastings (Washington)
Dave Reichert (Washington)
Shelley Moore Capito (West Virginia)
Tom Petri (Wisconsin)
In the coming weeks and months, Heritage Action will engage in grassroots advocacy to educate Members of Congress and their constituents about the problems with Obamacare. Heritage Action will target Members of Congress at home in their districts and in Washington, DC with paid issue advertisements, local grassroots activity, online activist tools and earned media.
With more than 680,000 members across the country, The Heritage Foundation and its sister organization, Heritage Action for America, are committed to building an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity and a civil society flourish. Obamacare hinders those objectives.

It’s fine unconstitutional Obamacare is repealed through this discharge petition but in the end will be the people who decide how they are governed. It is incumbent upon Americans to defending the Constitution by openly defying Obamacare.
Agreed. Another factor is the Democrats who voted against Obamacare. Heritage Action for America is going after them to support repeal too.
Mark Kirk and Mike Castle need to be kept out of the Senate at all cost. They are far worse than getting a Democrat in those seats...
because we’d never be able to run a conservative against them,
because they’d be the voice of “reasonable” Republicans,
because they’d help organize a “moderate” block,
because they’d ensure the continued domination of America by liberals, but conservatism would get blamed for the disasters they cause.
four of these signed today July 26
Let’s get the rest of the Republicans AT LEAST.
If small businesses see this signal of Obamacare repeal passing
in the House THIS YEAR, perhaps they will be more likely
to create jobs instead of being afraid of all the mandates in Obamacare.
You get fined for not providing insurance, you get fined if your employee
goes to the exchange, and you get fined if your employee pays more
than X% of family income to premiums. Hello????
White Castle? they don’t like this law.
I clicked on a Heritage Action For America link yesterday and got a Mitt Romney video. Disappointing to say the least.
