I wonder if this law forbids the use of aliases and P.O. Boxes in the ad information. That way, the top donor could be Mickey Mouse, P.O. Box 6969, Byte Me, MN, and the other four could be Pluto, Donald Duck, Goofy, etc.

I predict that Lindsey Graham will break the filibuster, because he does not want to be outed.

First the suppression of free speech.

Then, the midnight knock on the door, and, “Will you come with me, please, comrade.”

Here is the bill if anyone wants to read it. I found it interesting that there are no cosponsors to the amendment.

If Reid can get 60 votes

We won't know until the vote whether any RINOs plan to help the democrats with their dirty work. There appears to be a blackout regarding GOP opposition. In fact it almost appeared as if Collins was broadcasting to Schumer on how to make it more "palatable" to her instead of just giving it a firm no as Brown did.

...If this bill passes, it will become effective within thirty days, which will cause such confusion and chaos only two months before the fall congressional elections that many corporations, both profit and nonprofit, and incorporated associations, will no doubt stay out of the election and stay out of grassroots activity on other bills and issues being considered by Congress before November.

To the contrary, if this passes, people and associations
should be encouraged to “Clog the Courts”!!!

Start so many actions that the repression will become
the forefront of the newscycle.

Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has filed for cloture on the DISCLOSE Act, S. 3628, which is intended to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens United and impose burdensome new disclosure requirements

When it passes, can we not immediately sue on the grounds it is unconstitutional and get an injunction?

This is one way to help ensure the Democrats victory in November! And thanks to the NRA for helping this bill come to pass! They might as well turn over their guns to the Feds! D@mn NRA!!!

the ability to criticize politicians when they do things like nationalize 1/5 of the U.S. economy

Don't worry the ability to criticize will still be available. There will be a large auditorium and we will be invited down to the podium to say what they want. When we are finished a helpful guard will assist in escorting us out a side door. If we don't have any criticism we can just sit quietly with our hands folded.

When the Constitution says “No Law”, that doesn’t mean we can’t pass laws.

If you little stupid people went to Harvard and Yale like us, you’d understand.

Now pay your taxes and have a nice day. :)

I guess this creates quite a dilemma for the newly minted right-wing Senator McCain of McCain-Feingold fame. What does he have to say about this unconstitutional monstrosity?

Schumer/Van Hollen Sedition Act of 2010

Soon the Republicans will be in charge. What will the left do when they're not allowed to attack? That's all they know how to do.

Evey law being written today will eventually be in someone elses hands. They'd better be careful what they wish for.

If Scott Brown supports this there must be a recall effort launched ASAP.
