It is ironic this country would experience explosive Federal Usurpation spearheaded by a tall lanky fellow from Illinois who seems determined to exploit crisis and expand a deep rift in the country that has become more and more charged.

We have indeed become two completely divided camps, left and right, and he will do whatever it takes to impose the will of the (mostly) northern liberal-leaning states on the (mostly) southern and western conservative states.

The issues that divide us, political, moral and theological, whether or not we “spread the wealth” and pursue a socialist agenda or whether we adhere to our original founding as a “free republic, if we can keep it” as Mr. Franklin once suggested, has us hurtling towards another American feud.

How violent?

Do we change our entire way of life, the base of our economy and restructure our political landscape because we have little chance of agreement on these issues?

To which path do we turn, Free Republic or Slave Socialist?

The Federal Usurpation just might be pushed too far for some of us to stand. We see those that would abandon our “noble experiment” based upon the powerful force of personal liberty and freedom, the principles for which our Republic once stood. Are they misguided? Are they evil?

Their adherents, of course, believe they have a more spiritual and humane nature, wanting all to share equally in the wealth of a great land, where their fervent progressivism can become a free way of life for all. Not a freedom for which we are all prepared, it seems.

Standing in opposition to those who would run our ever-changing Democracy (for that is what we have become) are those that would conserve the ideals of a once truly unique way of life, a Republic, a Representative Republic, envisioned by the founders of these United States.

Many aspects of our social and religious beliefs, established mores, our basic economic freedoms, may induce so much passion on both sides we could end up fighting each other over which path is righteous ... and we will both claim an absolute moral imperative that we will each consider unimpeachable and without doubt the most fundamental and undeniably righteous cause.

Those that would impose the enslavement by the State, that see it as an urgent mission that cannot be put off any longer and continue the growing cry for social justice, are not likely to have a change of heart and forgo their dream of the REAL, complete and total solution in which they so fervently believe because some of us believe that the REAL path to freedom is to pursue our destiny as a great republic? They have killed millions to get here.

I hope this will not amount to anything but a clash between opposing forces of voters, but there seems more to it and it seems explosive. It is too deep a disagreement, too fundamentally rooted in our respective beliefs in two diametrically opposed ways of life to which we each are each totally committed.

This is not simply socialist creep, the push from a small number of old radicals; it is the rush of the left to finally end our grand experiment.

Will the resistance to this virulent, leftist imposition of will end in a heated debate and resolution through the ballot box, or will it create safe houses and strongholds of a Free Republic, mounting of a resistance and forcing some of us to become rebels?

Can we go forward, having been pushed so far, to continue living in a house so utterly divided? I know there are those on the left who are true believers. They are so violent in their beliefs that their adherents to date have killed millions to achieve their goals. Are we now seeing the tipping point?

Good thoughts. It is a “rush to the left”, but the way to win is to not be goaded into a violent conflict. The way to win is to turn to God and then vote properly. We must win the hearts of the people for God — the government will take care of itself.
