Crackdown nets about 100 Medicare fraud suspects in Miami, other cities

Federal agents early Friday arrested about 100 people accused of plotting to fleece $256 million from Medicare by filing phony claims with the taxpayer-funded healthcare program. The arrests were part of an orchestrated crackdown in five major U.S. cities that coincided with the nation's first healthcare fraud summit in Miami.

$256 million from just 100 people? You know there are tens of thousands of fraudsters out there taking advantage of the system... scary.

My reading on this is that if you only scam them for a tiny amount, say $100K a year, they won’t even look your way. It took $2.5M a year to get on this list.
