Pawlenty: Investigate felon votes in Senate race
StarTribune.com ^ | 7/14/10 | Kevin Diaz

Gov. Tim Pawlenty jumped into a growing controversy Wednesday when he said that a conservative interest group may have found "credible evidence" that voter fraud involving felons tipped the narrow 2008 U.S. Senate race toward Sen. Al Franken.

Pawlenty's remarks, in a television interview, gave a boost to a study released by Minnesota Majority that purports to have found that more than 1,000 felons voted illegally in the bitterly contested election.

The group's claims have been broadcast by Republicans in Minnesota and elsewhere, reigniting a debate over a cause long championed by Republicans: use of voting safeguards such as photo ID and other measures opposed by most Democrats as restrictive and potentially discriminatory.

Well, GEEZ Tim, where were you when the flakey recount was going on?? It would appear that you and Norm were the only two people alive that didn't realize that the election was being stolen with the help of the Secretary of State whose election was payed for with Soros' money.

Much too little.

Much too late.

If the integrity of our elections is stolen, the elections will be stolen and our country will be stolen.

Unfortunately, there is a major political party that won’t hesitate to win elections in this way.

I agree. He’s complaining much too late. He could have prevented this whole mess in the first place if he had the backbone to stand up against the likes of Soros and Franken.

It will be done again in another time and another place or perhaps even in the same place. One thing is certain ,other than a complaint or two, Republicans will do nothing to upset their “Honorable” members on the other side of the aisle.

Including the diaper wearing felon who got elected.

The Democrats have always been against photo ID for Voter Identification at the Polls. The Democrats probably get at least 90% of all the illegal votes cast. They know and understand this. So they don't want any checks on voting. They want illegal aliens and double voters and such to vote. It helps them. What sane person would be against showing a photo ID to allow them to vote? How does this violate anyone's rights. We show photo ID all the time for just about anything and yet the Democrats are against it. Why? Everyone knows why.

Maybe he’s seriously considering a presidential run, and it finally dawned on him that handing a 60 vote majority to Obama on a silver platter-when it could have been legally stopped by none other than Pawlenty himself-just might be a liability.

Great, that and ten bucks will get him on the Subway.

He ought to grow a real pair and call for a reset of voting rights to 1787.

The electorate is politically retarded, and can only be cured through radical measures.

Much too little.

Much too late.

All in all, he has done good as governor considering the DFL BS he has had to wade through to get anything done.

In 2006, I headed over to the local precinct to vote in the primary. Low turnout, as usual. As I walked through the doors to the gymnasium at the local elementary school, the fellow behind the registration table started to thumb through the big book. As I arrived at the table, he spun the book around toward me and said...”Sign right here”.

Long, greasy hair in a ponytail....cargo pants shorts....sandals, no socks.....tank top and a rope belt that looked like it was woven from hemp......you get the picture.

I looked down at the book, searching for my name and couldn’t find it because my last name doesn’t begin with ‘M’...

I said...”my name’s not on this page”.

His reply???

“Aw...Dude...you look just like my old neighbor”

I made a comment about how voter fraud happens. He now grabs the log out of my hands, turns his back to me and demands to know my full name and address.

I turn around and demand to know just who is in charge, here...

The election judge appears and I retell the story and the hippie was walked out the door....

Sweet.

"I choose ethanol free just because I can."

You've gotta be living in the only state where "ethanol-free" is an option at the pump: the fedgov demands the gas have ethanol everywhere else in this country.

Do you realize what this says. This is saying that all the damage King Obama will result in the same way - too late. It is what I have been saying that it will take generations to convert back to a constitutional America once the damage has been done. Corruption, give aways, extortion, etc, has a way of locking in the weak that cannot do for themselves and will vote this corruption back in time and time again.

I don’t think that the statute of limitations has expired on this issue. A Federal Grand Jury should indict every felon who voted, and the issue SHOULD be brought before a Judge to try to overturn a fraudulent win. Why should ALL the people of the United States have to suffer the consequences because of the criminal conduct of a few? And to throw some gasoline on the fire, how about overturning the election of Franken and nullifying any votes he participated in!

I can appreciate your sentiments but how do you translate “if he had the backbone to stand up against” into an action plan?

I mean like what? Sue in court? Based on what?

I am not saying you are wrong to criticize him but what could be done?

Let me tell you here in Washington State, there were two blatant election thefts that preceded the theft by Franken and were an exact preplay of what transpired in MN.

What we learned is that we must scrub the voter polls well in advance of the election and especially after the voter registration deadline because that’s the day when many fraud registratoins appear. Also a careful eye must be kept on voter registrations that did not exist on or before the deadline to register. Records and databases must be forensically examined to get all the fraud voters off the rolls.

So perhaps one thing Pawlenty could have done is to propose a task force to scrub the voter rolls, if that is legal for him to do. Because the effort takes a lot of time and people need to be trained on how to do it, and that means they need to be paid. Voila, it takes money to have a clean election.

That’s the bottomline, $$$ are needed to ensure fair elections. Who will pony up the $$$? That’s the question Pawlenty could look into having someone report back.

But here’s the kicker: the SOS project funded by Soros is pushing for SOS candidates and incumbents who will push and fight for SAME DAY REGISTRATIONS! And it already happened in some places in the 2008 election. Once SAME DAY REGISTRATION goes into effect, there is a provisional ballot that will be counted after the registrant is verified to be eligible to vote. But guess what? ACORN types and their Leftist kin will acidently on purpose MIX THE PROVISIONAL BALLOTS IN WITH THE REGULAR BALLOTS. And they will say “OOPS. SO SORRY!; NOT!”. And once a fraudulent ballot is counted, it is not reversible, because one never knows which way the fraud ballot was voted.
