“Bob McDonnell for President!!!”

No....McDonnell promised to privatize our Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) stores. If he does this, and only this, he’ll be a successful governor. If he does this and also manages to privatize or sell some other state functions or assets, THEN, would I support him for any other office.

It is obvious that some poor citizens are going without the basic necessities of life(free food, large screen TV, and free netflix)in order for Virginia to achieve a revenue non shortfall. How can Zero help em if the state is behaving so responsibly?

“New Republican Governor + Republican controlled House of Delegates = surplus!”

Funny how that always happens.

I don't know and don't care how to post graphics but a pic of crybabies would be appropiate now. I'm sorry, I guess, for state employees however they do still have their jobs and bene’s. I have seen my friends get let go and have not had any kind of raise for 2 years now, let alone cost of living. Here Here Gov Mcdonnell just don't say macaca(sp) for gods sake!

Over 113,000 new Federal jobs or Federal contractor jobs have been made in the greater DC-Georgetown metropolitan statistical area since the first notion of recession in late 2007.

The state of Virginia is feeding off the largess of the pillaging of the American people through unsustainable deficit spending and devaluation of the national currency.

I’m sure people in NJ are hoping for the same, while (liberal) schmucks in NY can only look on with envy.

Well thanks Jersey, for your brilliant fiscal analysis. But you need to realize that not all 113,000 of those jobs are necessarily held by Virginians. It is true, however, that the federal government is the largest employer in Northern Virginia.

But to say that it’s just the impact of the federal government that fills Virginia’s coffers is simply ignorance. In spite of that, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine managed to decimate Virginia’s budget, crying every year for higher taxes.

Bob McDonnell in 6 months has managed to close a $4.2 billion shortfall, end up with a budget and to it all without raising taxes.

This is what happends in a state that does not allow collective bargaining for public employees. I lived in the nightmare of states that allow this, ie NY and CA.

It is amazing that you can’t tell the party of the governor from the article. If there would have been a deficit every other word of the article would have been Republican. Or, if it was a Democrat, we would have no doubt.

Generally, for print media especially, I would agree. But in this case it's a blurb from a TV station. The majority of viewers would already know the Governor's affiliation.

Just my $0.02.
