Earth to Juan!!! The reason we're the land of opportunity is because traditionally we DIDN'T let just everyone in. They had to demonstrate that they had means of support and a sponsor who took responsibility if they became unemployed. So Juan, we were selective in who came and in that sense we DID erect barriers.

AZ please send Juan into retirement. Mr McLame, we thank you for your service, but your time has come and gone.
