Obama is a fool to think that a third-generation Mexican family has something in common with the campesinos who have just crossed the border.
Where I live, the 3rd generation Mexicans are regressing into non-English speaking gang bangers. Literally, the 2nd gen parents have better English skills than their kids. The kids have been spoonfed the LaRaza hate whitey "diversity is our strength" garbage since kindergarten.

I don’t know where you are, but that’s exactly what I’ve seen, in various parts of the country.
