Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies by Jared Diamond I thought it was great. Confirmed a bunch of stuff I already suspected to be true and opened my eyes to some new things as well.

On my third Matthew Shardlake mystery, Sovereign, by C.J. Sansom - great summer reads about a hunchback lawyer in Tudor England who solves mysteries and struggles with the changing theologies of the time.

I now have 103 books on my wish list at AmazonI use my Amazon wishlists to keep track of what I need from the library. Everything I want to read is on the Private list. If I can't find it at the library, and I think it deserves shelf space, I move it to the Public list.

I am thoroughly enjoying it. However it is scary to think of because almost everything happening in the book up till now (about 1/2 way through) has already happened in real life.

Just finished it myself. Just a couple of flaws, but overall a great read. He is a pretty talented novelist.
