Ted Nugent: Why Guns Are Good for Freedom

In a world increasingly hellbent on abandoning logic and the ensuing escalation of Obama madness, it is clearly time for the maximum celebration of the good old, always reliable Uncle Ted crowbar of logic. I am ThumpMaster, hear me roar. In the otherwise universally recognized perfection of the American experiment in self-government, where evil monsters like Che Guevara and Mao Zedong are routinely worshipped by the very imbeciles that these historical murderers would have slaughtered unhesitatingly, to a community-organizer-in-chief whose terminal rookie agenda is maniacally to spend our way out of debt and drop charges against clear and present criminal New Black Panther thugs threatening voters in Philadelphia, to black-robed idiots claiming Americans have no right to self-defense, where pimps, whores and welfare brats party hearty with the mindless fantasy that Fedzilla will wipe their butts eternally, ad nauseam - I am compelled to increase my crowbar swinging to new heights every day. I am the steel ballerina. Let's dance.

I love Ted but he needs to stand up to the NRA who are supporting Harry Reid and Obama. Ted is true blue.

Nuge had me until the last three words: “Join the NRA.” Not sure that’s the right group anymore. Try “Join the Gun Owners of America.”

I love Ted. I agree with 99% of what he says.

But should his pontificating be taken any more seriously just because I agree with him?

He is a singer.

Apply the weight to his comments that deserves. No more, no less.

He is a singer.

Palin is an author.

Your point?

Further, he's more widely known as a guitarist.

Do you have any proof of this? Other then lefty media fantasizing and calling it news?

Remember that the leftist media was giddily reporting that the NRA wasn't going to come out against Kagan.

The NRA is not a perfect organization but no group does as much to support the 2nd amendment.

Could I please hear from someone who actually prefers Mr. Daley's gun-ban slaughter zones to the safe streets of armed America? You've got to be kidding me.

No freaking kidding! I wouldn't step foot in Daley's hell hole if you put a gun to my head. Of course if someone did put a gun to my head I would blow theirs off with mine. ;-)

My point is that if two articles, one from Ted and another from Babs were printed side by side, the folks here would be cheering Ted, and bashing Babs.

My point is that the media wants us to pay attention to folks just because they are successful at one thing—making them “experts” at another.

I agree with Ted. I will give you the guitarists over singer status....

I just think we need to keep this all in context.

And as far as Sarah goes, she was a Gov before she was an author—which gives her more credibility on policy issues. At least in my opinion.

And this is all opinion....so mine means little as well. Unless you are talking photography...then I am an expert. Fair ‘nuff?

The thug punks who couldn't care less about Daley or any gun law anywhere prefer Daley's streets for sure. Because it means when they pull an armed robbery, all the law abiding citizens won't have what it takes to stop them. It makes it too easy for the thugs and it makes innocent civilians nothing but a fat pig waiting to be slaughtered.

It is worth a half a day’s extra drive to stay at least 100 miles away from Chicago if you have to go past it.

Right is right, no matter the occupation of the speaker. The problem with the Dixie Chunks, Babs Streisand, Sarandon, et al., is that they are not speaking from real world experience. Ted, although his fame allows him privelege, has remained firmly in touch with real world American life.

"has remained firmly in touch with real world American life."

Sadly, MOST Americans have never raised/caught/killed the food they/we eat......Ted has, regularly I suspect.

That one factor separates NYC,LA etc etc from we 'flyover folks'..Watcha think?

Guns, personal weapons of the most effective type available for whatever given time you are living in, are not just good for freedom... They are NECESSARY for it.

Spears, swords, guns, coherent anti-matter rays, lightsabers, whatever...

You cannot be free if someone else has the means to kill you and/or the threat thereof to force your compliance.

Denying this simple fact goes against thousands of years worth of human history and should be considered a sign of serious mental illness.
