Ixnay on a minor job.

She is better doing what she is doing and should absolutely run for President.

Besides, we need a hottie for a leader.

Williamson should spend a little more time listening and reading what Palin has been saying and writing - most especially the recent facebook post on Obama’s enemy-centric foreign policy.

Then again, our friends at NR can be a bit snooty at times, can’t they?

To suggest that Sarah Palin should lead a group that embodies all that is wrong with the Republican Party is to miss the entire premise of her presence on the political stage. She means to sweep the good old boys away, not to lead them.

By the time the 2012 election rolls around I think she will be an unstoppable force headed straight for 1600 Penn. Ave.

She is busy replacing the RNC.

She has no interest in running it.

As I understand it, the job is defined as raising funds, electing worthy candidates and rallying the base.

I can’t think of anyone better suited for — or who has demonstrated greater competence and energy for — the job. The question is rather, “Is the job suited to her?”

I’m all for it. Sarah would receive a huge bounce for leading the GOP recovery of the house (and maybe the senate in November.) Come January, she could tern her sights on other endeavors...

No, I'm a Sarah fan and believe she wouldn't fit in that position. It's a party job and she's too rogue. There's a higher calling waiting for her.

The head of the party apparatus is supposed to be a political strategist and idea man, someone famous and popular enough where people will pay to hear him speak, a prolific fundraiser, smart and articulate enough to debate the other side on TV and win every time, but who himself probably wouldn’t win an election.

I nominate Newt Gingrich.

Spending her time eating rubber chicken and stumping for every RINO running? It wouldn't help at all.

I’m against this idea Heather, but I think it would be great if Joe Biden was head of the DNC after his retirement in 2012.

No - absolutely not.

1) She is already the de facto Conservative power broker. A specific title for her would only serve to give the MSM a target. Right now the MSM is pulling their hair out over her because they can’t label her, only libel her.

2) The “Republican” brand is a loser and accordingly must die. Conservatives may need to call themselves “Republican” in the short run in order to get elected. However, we must flush out the RINO’s. This process is already in place, and we must see it through to its inevitable conclusion.

I think that Palin would be too restricted as RNC Chairman. I like her current role of pushing issues and candidates without any institutional restraint.

she does more damage to the DNC by staying out of the RNC.

If she goes to RNC she will turn off many independents. This is what the lefties want.

They know they’ve lost the republican vote, their fear is losing more independents.

Many of us will never toss another dime at the RNC. If she associates with them, I still won’t give the RNC a dime. I give individual candidates money. They all happen to be republicans, but I will NOT allow the RNC to give my money and support to their platform. Never again.

Palin gives us conservatives the empowerment of picking OUR candidates to run. Not RINOs.

If she gets tangled in the RNC she’ll be forced to support every well connected golf course country club repub who has greased the right palms.

Forget it.

I love Sarah, and I love her right where she’s at, sitting on high ground, helping to pick off those that need it. Republican and Dem.

I am SURE the RNC would love to control her. They don’t want any of their sweethearts to live in fear of a Tea Party candidate usurping their thrown.

Go away RNC, you are insignificant of your own making.
