The reporter just can't bring himself (herself? itself?) to utter the word, "Communist." It's probably painful to admit that the symbol might be associated by some (though nobody at the newspaper) with dictatorship. It's also sad that this probably is news to anyone under 25 who went to public school.

History Channel’s bogus “story of us” could not even use the term “tea party” when discussing the boston tea party.
It was a pointless propaganda series of rinos and radical leftists ALL pushing the politically correct revisionist history. IOW america was baaaaaad, america IS baaaaaad, america will always be baaaaaad until it goes socialist.
This billboard reporting is just another example how reporters do not live in the real world and do not want to live in the real world.
