The rush to recess gives Democrats little time to pass any major laws. That's why there have been signs in recent weeks that party leaders are planning an ambitious, lame-duck session to muscle through bills in December they don't want to defend before November. Retiring or defeated members of Congress would then be able to vote for sweeping legislation without any fear of voter retaliation.

The only thing that might save us is we real conservative freedom loving Americans are at the ready. We will not become a Communists Nation with King Obama a dictator and his corrupt communists Administration at its head. Don't forget the new Communists Party (formally the Democratic Party) is as much to blame for our conversion to communism as the thugs King Obama hired.
They've become accustomed to the perks and benefits of living near DC and cannot imagine returning to living amongst the serfs.
Retired government employees have their own world and they're not leaving.
Doesn’t matter what the republicans do, the RATS will just stamp everything “Deem passed”.
Thinking long term, if the current trend continues, I think we’ll see the two parties repealing LOTS of laws as the pendulum of power swings back and forth.
Is it really lack of backbone or do they fundamentally agree w/ the dems? I think theres a case to be made for agreement. Consider DC is its own world where the same basic set of people revolve in and out of ‘office’ or are permanent fixtures. Ideas tend to melt together and most think alike (the herd mentality). Few are willing to ‘go it alone’ ideologically. Also consider that when the Ds rule the Rs scream foul but when Rs rule they don’t attempt to repeal those same laws they howled about. The same is true in reverse. Consider the Patriot Act. The dems went ape but now are oddly quiet. So, I think that a true course change isn’t going to occur until the swamp is completely drained. In fact just changing the pols isn’t enough. I suspect most of the entrenched bureaucrats will also need to go.
Full court filibuster will be mandatory, but there are lots of procedures in the House to slow eveything down to a crawl.
The Conservatives will be so empowered nothing will scare them off. The RINOS will so scared they will stay out of the way. The dems will be in such shock they will be like blindmen in an asskickin contest.
