So true. I think that is why the state run media is so perplexed by the Tea Partiers. They can't figure out why their propaganda isn't working anymore.

I took note of the people that include me in group posts- prayer requests, “look at the funny video” emails, kitten pictures, jokes and the like.
I recruited several of these as distribution nodes, I found out which ones were conservatives or at least willing to pass stuff along.
Then I started sending them links to articles or gov’t docs or Youtube links, with a brief paragraph usually, but sometimes with more editorial stuff or factual stuff. I back everything up with links and research.
I send it out to the “node” people as well as a list of friends, contacts, political contacts. Some contacts I found by looking at the Send portion from group emails that are not Bcc’d.
If I make it interesting enough and honest enough (no sensationalizing), I find that the message gets passed along, especially by the node people, who apparently send anything interesting to their entire mail list!
I know I’m successful when I get my message back from two or six other people.
It’s basic viral messaging, and it runs completely around MSM- and can be faster, and can potentially cover many hundreds of people, if you have a bunch of “node” emailers who take time out from sending puppy pictures to include my “news item”.
I forgot to mention, all the folks who send me political stuff, I send stuff back, whether they are on our side or not.
I get a lot of political email now!
