Carnahan Drops Prices For Obama Event
National Journal ^ | 7/8/2010 | Reid Wilson

Posted on 07/08/2010 12:39:25 PM PDT by Qbert

Pres. Obama is the best fundraiser the Dem Party has, but his drawing power is way down from its peak during the '08 campaign. Obama is heading to MO and NV today to raise money for Sec/State Robin Carnahan (D), running for an open Senate seat, and Senate Maj. Leader Harry Reid.

But Carnahan's campaign wasn't able to completely sell out the Folly Theater, where Obama will appear for a grassroots event on Carnahan's behalf, at the prices they wanted. Tickets once priced at $250 are now going for $99, while $35 tickets are half off.

The grassroots event at the 1,078-seat theater is expected to net $250K for Carnahan's campaign, the Kansas City Star reported today.

Is there a special section reserved for Republicans that compliment him and the Democrat party over and over again?

Won’t be long they will be giving those tickets out for free....Reid and Jack Squat in the same place; there is enough toxic toxin present that the CBC should be called in to clean it up. =.=

Law of supply and demand. Zero supplies his mug on camera a gidzillion times a day so the price to check him out drops.

Mr. Skittles is a fallen rock star. He’s definitely a B-list act now.

Yeah, but if the nation ever gets fully and fundamentally tranformed along the lines BHO and friends imagine, there won't be tickets. Instead, you'll be given a day off from your government job and ordered to go and cheer. Flags and signs will be supplied. Attendance will be taken.

Look, any guy that can sign on to this slop, should have a reserved seat. Even you should be able to comprehend that.

Isn’t it interesting that I’m evidently the ‘Democrat Troll’ in your eyes, but the guy that did it is above reproach?

If they are discounting that hard for a measly 1000 seat venue, I wonder if they will make any money after expenses. It won’t matter if they don’t, Dims usually stiff suppliers anyway, a la Hillary.

Illegitimus non carborundum, FRiend. Keep in mind that conservatives like yourself are as frustrating to some Republicans as they are to Democrats.

I agree with that “Democrat” troll, many Republicans defended this POS president, first one being our loser nominee for president John Mccain, who did not allow Palin to educate more Americans as to the Socialist leaning of this President.

“Tickets once priced at $250 are now going for $99, while $35 tickets are half off.”

####

At $250.00 per ticket, Sarah Palin would easily achieve multiple sell-outs in that venue, and without the Commie pocketbook filling the seats.

They’ve already started down that road...:
