Sen. John McCain has announced that he will vote no on confirming Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan, citing her handling of the military recruiting as dean of Harvard Law School.

How convenient! He gets to vote against her thereby catering to the conservatives in Arizona durring an election year yet all the time knowing she will be confirmed anyway. He gets to have it both ways. After deliberately blowing an election that was the most important election in history, I have no use for McCain. And I will never forgive him for dragging Sarah Palin down. She could have been the best thing that happened to America.
Paging Scott Brown. Paging Scott Brown.
I hope the Maine twins are listening as well.
That republican Primary race for his U.S. Senate seat against Hayworth must be close.
A pathetic attempt to pull conservative hide over his RINO fleece.
Means nothing, Juan. Your little Gang of 14 maneuver kept 100+ Bush appointees off federal courts, 100+ court vacancies Obama has since been filling with leftist hacks.
When your actions mattered greatly, you stabbed conservatives in the back. When your action will be meaningless...
I’m sure the role-call was done, and a deal was made with they white house and McCain.
“we have the votes John, go ahead and vote against her, but you know... after the election... we’re going to have to talk about comprehensive immigration reform”
“you bet, I’ll be reaching across the isle, like the maverick that I am, as soon as I’m re-elected!”
I didn't read his press release or statement - the pipsqueak is a liar anyway. But your comment makes me wonder, did he cite "exceptional circumstances" to justify withholding his approval? That was the undefined threshold for the gang of 14, and from the tone of their letter, that was forever the appropriate threshold.
Translation: I’ve done the round-robin and determined that, even if I vote against her, she’ll still be appointed, so, I’ll vote against her to make it look like I’m a conservative.
Too little, too late, McCain.
It’s time for you to use the nearest exit, and take that stupid tool of a daughter of yours along with you.
Right Juan. Now that your vote is not a determining factor in her being confirmed, you get to pretend conservative.
FUJuan. Noone is buying your late stage conversion to conservatism. So you may as well vote to confirm her, since we all knew that is what you would do...So go ahead sweet cheeks, reach across the aisle. We all know you want to.
Only McStupid would take a no-brainer and may it look like the maverick political decision of the decade.
He needs to be deported from DC for good.
I haven't seen an actual press release, but the news reports all mention his objection to the way Kagan treated military recruiters when she was dean of Harvard Law School.
But, whatever, it means nothing since there is little or no chance Republicans could, or would, filibuster the nominee. Just another election year charade from Juan.
Don’t worry, he will send his cabana boy, Ms. Lindsey to do his dirty work in supporting her.
My bet is he will return to his old ways on November 3rd.
the pubbies are fools. the only way they stop this is with a filibuster. All 41 can vote against her, BFD. Any pubbie Senator that does not support a filibuster is for all intents and purposes voting to confirm her. Counting on 11 demholes to vote aginst confirmation is useless.

He’ll send her a huge bouquet of flowers and a slobbering apology once he makes it past the primary.
... and yet he loved Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
