I know. I am just frustrated. I just cannot understand how ANYONE with even a smidgen of conservatism could vote for that bill.

Gaah. I am a realist enough not to think I will ever (even if I lived somewhere else) get a candidate I will agree with 100%, but THIS thing is a huge gap.

Thank you for the civil and reasonable response. There are some posters who just say “Stew in your own juices up there in Massachusetts, you jerkoffs deserve it for voting in people like Kennedy, Kerry and Frank!”

Man, I sure didn’t vote them in!

Thanks for the kind words..I don’t know if you have a pet or not but when you have to change a pet’s diet you introduce the new kibble slowly and incrementally. I suspect that Brown is doing something similar by introducing some of the Democrats and many independents who, in the past, have voted for Kennedy, Kerry and Frank to new non-progressive ideas in an attractive and reasonable package.I know that neither you nor I would have voted for the Dodd-Frank bill but then we’re not standing in his shoes as the sole Republican Senator in an exceedingly left wing state. Dittos for Snowe and Collins in Maine. Collins last opponent was Chellie Pingree, who, having been cleaned up, now sits in the House voting for every left wing nutcase piece of garbage legislation that flies under her nose. There is a LOT of progressive damage to undo in New England and it’s not fixed by angering constituents with a vote against an issue that polls show is clearly important to them. In the PRNJ, I am not happy with his vote for Dodd Frank but I understand it and I will support him in 2012 with money and phone calls. I hope you will be able to get beyond the disappointment and understand why he’s picking his battles and eventually resume your support. Best wishes.
