This puts Holder and the DOJ on record now as refusing to enforce the voting rights act regarding the harassment of a black voter at the polls. My question at this point would be of a legal nature, and possibly other FReepers could answer it. If now, there is a case wherein a black voter has been harassed, and the Government has abdicated it responsibility to uphold his rights, can private counsel now sue in a Federal Court? And since this is a civil rights suit, can the Government be forced to pay for lawyer fees?
Whew! Thank god! Now we can put to rest all of this talk that the NEW BLACK PANTHERS is a racist organization!
