It has to be, because helpless doesn't make sense. Hopefully this was the reporter's mistake and not Brewer's.

Not sure, but seeing Brewer interviewed on Greta lately, she’s spitting mad, apoplectic - probably just misspoke .

My parents were from the South. To them a “helpless” person is someone who is WEAK,PATHETIC,OF NO USE . For example “ that poor helpless man,ain't gonna be do nuttin in life!! Yep ,if Brewer said helpless , she was right on target.
