Oh, I don't know. Those same professors probably are used to score “So You Think You Can Dance.” and “World's Best Beaches.” Pretty much the height of academia.

Of course the man is rated highly. He received the Nobel Peace Prize after only a couple of months in office.

Waiting for him to be awarded the CMH, Pulitzer and an Academy Award as well!

They must have used the same criteria as the Nobel committee.

“How can he be judged? the game aint over yet stupid story”

“He hasn’t even been president two years. On what basis can he be ranked?”

Are you guys seriously forgetting that Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize? - That alone puts him at least at 16th. Seesh. /s

But we all knew -19bama is the best president after only 9 days in office. A bunch of Nobel hacks told us so. These prof’s are in the same category: hacks.

This is such an incredibly silly poll. I’m betting most of the voters in this are ivory-tower Democrats who just can’t let themselves admit they see a pig in a poke with Obama. It’s embarrassing to read, even.

Franklin D. Roosevelt again earned the top spot, as he has every time since the poll was first conducted in 1982.

I mean... c'mon.. that says volumes about these "professors."

0bama.. the 15th best.. ROTFLMAO!!!!!

That tells you everything you need to know about the value of this poll and it's participants. FDR ahead of Washington and Lincoln - wow.

That would be really funny if it weren’t so sad. He’s really a bit below Carter...where did Carter poll?

Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, was ranked at number 23 in 2002 — the last time Siena’s presidential expert poll was conducted — but has since dropped to number 39, qualifying him as one of the five worst presidents

What a load of filthy lies.

Too funny. Roosevelt who was President for the worst 8 years in American history during the Great Depression. Whose own Treasury secretary said the New Deal policies didn’t work. #1 to the “scholars.” Ahead of George Washington, who chose not to be king and chose to step down after 8 years rather than be President for life. Ahead of Ronald Reagan who won the cold war . . . without a shot and with nuclear war hanging over our heads like a dark cloud for my whole early life. Lifted like a dark cloud going away by Reagan. And Obama ranked better than Reagan! Even richer. And Clinton is better than Reagan according to the scholars. (Depends on what the meaning of “is” “is” I suppose).

Didn’t he win a Nobel prize based upon his CAMPAIGN SPEECHES?!!!

asked scholars to rate the nation’s 43 chief executives on 20 attributes ranging from legislative accomplishments to integrity and imagination.

Er...how about results?

“A new poll of leading presidential scholars ranks Barack Obama as the 15th best president of the United States, just below Bill Clinton but ahead of Ronald Reagan.

The Siena College poll, which surveyed 238 presidential scholars at U.S. colleges and universities, asked scholars to rate the nation’s 43 chief executives on 20 attributes ranging from legislative accomplishments to integrity and imagination. “

THEN AGAIN....

“” ” As a result, intellectuals are free from one of the most rigorous constraints facing other occupations: external standards. An engineer will ultimately be judged on whether the structures he designs hold up, a businessman on whether he makes money, and so on. By contrast, the ultimate test of an intellectual’s ideas is whether other intellectuals “find those ideas interesting, original, persuasive, elegant, or ingenious. There is no external test.” If the intellectuals are like-minded, as they often are, then the validity of an idea depends on what those intellectuals already believe. This means that an intellectual’s ideas are tested only by internal criteria and “become sealed off from feedback from the external world of reality.”

An intellectual’s reputation, then, depends not on whether his ideas are verifiable but on the plaudits of his fellow intellectuals. “”

Maybe over a hundred of these professors are clones of Senator Stuart Smalley? and all of them work for the government?

***How is it even possible to rank FDR ahead of George Washington or Abraham Lincoln? It defies any logic.***

That depends on what the meaning of RANK is!!!!!
