I'll call this BS. The Russians drilled the deep wells but didn't find abiotic oil. What they found was lots of water and hydrogen gas.

The off-shore drilling done by BP in the Gulf of Mexico, Williams said, was their attempt to create a similar super-deep well and access this same abiotic oil.

Is that true? The Russians (certain ones) have said for a long time there is far far more oil, "abiotic", deeper down than advertised. This situation could be indicative; but then if what you say is true (and I do know they drilled some 30K plus in Siberia) then maybe they recanted.

One thing though, Pressure IS Energy; Literally, Joules/cu.ft.

And with that much energy hanging around a lot of strange things, like polymerization, can occur.
