Why didn’t she fly the plane herself with no co-pilot and no
crew - isn’t she SuperGirl?

I am shocked they had no helium balloons to fly her home?

I can’t believe her parents are allowing their sixteen year-old daughter to fly half-way around the world by herself.

Rudderless overly-indulged child of idiot parents sent home after God knows how much money spent by many agencies.
There are some things that require maturity to do. This is one. Only idiot parents would allow it, much less encourage it.

As an aside, I’m curious about the funding of this venture. Reports were that $200,000 was spent on the boat and equipment, all of that lost. I don’t think that under the circumstances that loss was likely insured. Then there are plane tickets home and other miscellaneous expenses. Is the family that wealthy?

What happened to her boat?

Why was she there two weeks? Was her health more impacted by all this than originally reported?

I’ve still got mixed emotions about parents letting a young daughter
do a round-the-world voyage in a world with more than enough pirates/raiders.
But I did appreciate the young lady thanking the French crew that
did come out to get her safely home.
