Frankly, I'm suspicious of the charges, only because it's easy to accuse someone of something in that environment, if there are no direct witnesses, without proof, and it's almost impossible to mount a defense against. Easy way to make some bucks.

Settling is the ONLY option, and it can be used, as it is here, in the negative against the person who was accused.

It has to do with CA state/county law and how limited a business is to collect on bad debtors.

Even in this day and age, there generally has to be ‘something there’ to justify a $200 thousand dollar settlement. And it’s generally the reality that a jury would be inclined to award considerably more. It could also be that E-Bay didn’t want the bad publicity, but it did warrant a $200 thousand dollar settlement.

Look, I generally don’t think this sort of thing merits much attention. If it’s a pattern, then that’s another issue.

When it comes to Whitman and how she’s gaming Conservatism for her own gratification, I won’t sign on.

This problem was nothing to me. The fact that she is tied at the hip to John McCain, and leftist core ideals, is a very big problem for me.

To be frank, if she physically threw someone out of her office, that increases her stature in my eyes. We need a governor who would be willing to physically toss some people out of her office.

I suspect she merely led her out by the arm, but if she actually physically tossed the employee out onto the sidewalk, then she's the kind of person we need running the state.

Remember all the employees she will have in her office if she is governor will be STATE EMPLOYEES.
