TORONTO – Black-clad demonstrators broke off from a crowd of peaceful demonstrators protesting a global economic summit in Toronto on Saturday, torching police cruisers and smashing windows with baseball bats and hammers. Police arrested more than 100 people.
Police with shields and clubs pushed back the rogue protesters who tried to head south toward the security fence surrounding the perimeter of the Group of 20 summit site. Some demonstrators hurled bottles at police.
"We have never seen that level of wanton criminality and vandalism and destruction on our streets," Toronto police chief Bill Blair said.

5000 protesters "sponsored by labor unions" show up and 130 get themselves arrested for "wanton criminality and vandalism and destruction." HA!
Meanwhile after thousands of Tea Parties nationwide here, with millions of attendees to date, the number of Patriots arrested still stands at 0 !!

There should have been some skull-cracking going on.
Instead, the taxpayer gets Starship Troopers lumbering down the streets ineffectively.
What a travesty - almost worse than no police at all!
Aren’t WE supposed to be the intolerant ones??
And it cost them $900M! HA!
Fox news had some live coverage of mounted Toronto police clearing the area. Only a fool would argue with 1000+ pounds of horse, but apparently there were fools getting trampled.
At one of these “protests” a couple of years ago, the twits poured ball bearings on the street so that the horses would slip.
