Why shouldn’t this happen? When a representative—Joe Barton—calls Obama on his thuggery, his own GOP leadership smacks him down. So who’s going to call Obama on his hypocrisy? I’m sure Boehner’s press release will burn the hand of the staffer who has to type it. /s

Last I heard, Hayward was fired...demoted..an American face is now in place at BP. So why shouldn’t Hayward go home to England and do as he damn well pleases?
I am not saying his actions or reactions to the BP mess were right..but hells bells....
And yes..with the action of whathisname from TX, even if the GOP wins in the fall elections doesn’t look like much will change..the lib skunks will think and behave as though they won and the Republicans will roll over and be door mats for em. What is the point of voting anymore?
yeah Rahmbo- Tony Hayward, BP CEO, should be out there directing the operations of the US Coast Guard, the National Guard, the Gulf Coast governors and their staffs and agencies, FEMA, Red Cross, Interior Dept, DOT, EPA and the World Wildlife Fund - oh and approving assistance treaties so the uS can receive aid from the 13 countries that offered it-
oh and Tony should have waived the Jones Act before he flew back to England so foreign flag vessels can come in and scoop oil.
Tony also forgot to call the US military and order them to deploy tankers and other assets as needed to contain and store oil, and to move booms and equipment needed throughout the region as requested by the governors and all those agencies
oh, wait .... Tony and BP can’t DO any of those things, can they ...
And don’t forget the no spin guy BOR!
