Will there be any food stores? Could they afford the transportation costs this would ensue. $7.00 a gallon would destroy the economy and businesses closing. When is it we say enough!

People still need to eat. Increased transportation costs will just be passed on from the food companies to the consumers. The same with other petroleum-based products (plastics, etc.).
Can you say inflation?

diesel would be around 10 buck a gallon so that 2 dollar loaf of bead will now be 10 bucks.
