Mexicans or no Mexicans, here in Washington we don’t go camping without getting good use our Concealed Weapons permits. And the more remote the campground the more the need for the protection. The main reason is the traveling Meth Labs in old vans, and creepy campers and trailers, staying at each site for the max number of days aloud then moving onto the next site staying just out of reach of the law that has warrants out for them.

I have seen these characters in the remotest of campgrounds. You can’t get away from them. They have provided material for many a camp fire story for us, that usually begin with, “do you remember that old camper with the barking pit bulls that pulled in at 2 in the morning last year....?”

Mushroom growers and pickers is another group you don't want to run into on a remote hike here in the Northwest. And I'm not talking about the type of mushrooms you throw in your spaghetti sauce.
