Could the Obama Administration be Blocking Gulf Clean-up Efforts Intentionally?"
Townhall.com ^ | JUne 18, 2010 | Floyd and Mary Beth Brown

At first blush this sounds like an outlandish question with a conspiratorial twist. The corollary question goes like this: Is the Obama administration intentionally scaling back clean-up efforts in the Gulf in an attempt to maximize the damage so Democrats in Congress will have an excuse to take effective control over yet another major sector of our economy and impose crippling and draconian new taxes on the American people?

We first learned of this controversy reading Sher Zieve who wrote in the Canada Free Press: "Obama is doing the bare minimum so that destruction will be at an all-time maximum -- in order to shove his Cap and Trade bill (which will complete our destruction) down our throats."

A few days ago I would have said this is nuts...now, I’m not so sure. Even Obama couldn’t be THIS incompetent.

The longer they draw things out the more they can exploit the situation. The sheep are lapping up the Koolaid eagerly, as usual.

I’ve said it since his first action was to send justice department attorneys to the area.

And now all of his talk about war with the oil is inspiring the SEIU/ACORN crowd to attack the oil industry, just like it was designed to do.

We’ve seen this before and we’ll see it again. In case no one has noticed, there’s a war on food production building.

As of right now, BP’s blowout did for drilling in the Gulf, what Three Mile Island and Chernobyl did for the nuclear power industry. The open-ended liability will not be worth it for any potential driller.

Soros buys interest in South American Oil fields

USA loans money to those oil companies

Well blows out

Due to moratorium on drilling, rigs move to Brazil where there is a shortage on rigs for the new field.

Problem solved as planned

If there was any doubt it was dispelled when they halted the barges cleaning up in New Orleans for so called safety inspections.

Idling these cleanup measures for 24 hours.

I believe he is. He's stopping everything and anyone who can help from doing so. The only thing on his mind is money, litigation, and legislation. The more oil, the bigger the pay out, and the bigger the government oppression. It's a win/win for him. "Keep gushing! Flow, baby, flow! Ching ching $$$$"

(Hillary at the DNC winter meeting........"The other day, the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to take those profits and put them into a strategic energy fund." )

Huh? He's at -20 on the Rasmussen scale, going lower every day. If you mean the 25-30% he's never going to lose, OK.

The more inaction I see, I find it difficult to believe the “blow out” was an accident. Combined with BP’s contributions to Obama’s campaign—an “accident” like this, given their small probability of happening in the first place—is just WAY too convenient for the administration.

Yeah, it is an outlandish question. Anyone searching for a reason why the administration has done what it's done need look no further than gross incompetence. They are inept. They couldn't organize a two-car funeral much less handle a major ecological disaster. Nutty conspiracy theories are entertaining, but for Obama and his minions to do what these boneheads are suggesting would require a level of intelligence and capability that they haven't shown on anything else so far.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.......You know the rest.

Of course it's intentional. There's simply no other explanation. If someone wanted to be extremely generous they (not me) could give O a pass for the first week of the gusher while the administration got it's act together. But two months later and things are still messed up and disorganized??? That spells intentional.

ps. Just look back to Drudge and the picture of a frustrated Jindal over the Coast Guard stopping the barges. Intentional.

I think the only real question now is at what point to the citizens in the effected areas take cleanup matters into their own hands to get the job done.
