(Jamie) Gorelick's new challenge: Backing BP

When BP executives filed into the West Wing on Wednesday morning to meet with President Barack Obama, they were joined by at least one familiar Washington hand: former Clinton administration Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick, who signed on earlier this month to represent BP in congressional inquiries linked to the massive oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

As one of the top lawyers in Washington and a former Justice Department official, it is no surprise that BP tapped Gorelick and her prominent law firm, WilmerHale, to do the nearly impossible: defend it against a deluge of legislative inquiries into the oil disaster.

And her role is not very different from the one played by another prominent Democrat, former White House counsel Greg Craig, who is now representing Goldman Sachs — which until the oil spill was Washington’s favorite corporate pariah.

Still, Gorelick could easily have been on the other side of the table as one of the Obama administration’s key players. Her role in the Clinton administration and her later service as a member of the 9/11 Commission made her a logical choice for deputy attorney general.

After leaving the Justice Department, Gorelick served for six years as vice chairwoman of Fannie Mae and got caught up in the mortgage agency’s accounting controversy. In 2005, two years after Gorelick left Fannie Mae, a federal investigation into the public-private mortgage company found that accountants had falsified signatures to erase $9 billion in losses from the books. Eliminating those losses resulted in Gorelick and four other Fannie Mae executives taking away six- and seven-figure bonuses in 1998.

Like she was minding her own business, just having a picnic, and she "got caught up in" a sudden rainstorm.

She was one of the three or four main participants in a gross fraud that collectively made them hundreds of millions of dollars, but triggered a global economic collapse.

Your whole post is on point and bears repeating and repeating until people realize that it's all about looting. Their MO is to do nothing so that they cannot be tied to blame and then vilify and point the finger blaming someone else, someone with very deep pockets and enough of their own guilt and fears to be pliable in their hands (Have you noticed how Obama keeps coming out against BP but BP constantly lifts him way up?).

In this instance they hope to get huge amounts of money from BP and then also use the "crisis" to acquire the ability to promote political agendas that feed into their ultimate plans and use it as an excuse to further tax billions out of the American people and cut off our abilities to produce income thereby crippling us into compliance.

Obama and gang are thieves and out to get billions and billions and billions out of the American people with very, very, extremely little to show for it other than some video and photo opts with most of our wealth put into funds for them to enjoy and garner world power with one world leadership.

What has Obama accomplished? A slush fund is established. And you don’t think this money is NOT going to get diverted from the people who need it?

Obama and his gangsta crew still are not physically solving the problem at the shorelines, by marshalling resources and directing efforts. No, he drops in, eats a snow cone, and leaves. Sixty days in, they are still “considering” offers of help from other nations—help that should have been here 45 days ago.

It is all about the money and establishing how the villain is established and is made to pay the piper.

That is all these thugs have accomplished.

It is time for America to remove Obama and his thugocracy.

I don’t think it’s tinfoil at all anymore. It’s totally believable that this whole thing was orchestrated by hard core commies and corrupt democrat thugs in our own government,liberal think tanks, Wall Street and at BP! The dots are connecting themselves for anyone that will look at it all. We have the BP connection with Cap n Trade and huge donations to Obama. We have the connection with Corexit with Gore,Soros and his cronies. We have the huge amount of Soros money tied up with Brazil’s oil company(who will benefit from the demise of drilling in the Gulf) and Obama’s 20 billion dollar ‘gift’ to Brazil’s offshore drilling venture.And the list of corruption and evil go on and on and on.

This is all about paving the way for GE, Soros, Gore, Goldman Sacs and the enviro nazi’s to make billions off of cap n tax and the Chicago Climate Exchange and to usher in communism/socialism. BP America knows that they will be taken over in the end by Obama and his cronies. It’s part of the plan. The American taxpayer’s will bail them out and they will make billions off of ‘other ventures’ as crony capitalists and the ‘sole’ government approved/owned ‘oil company’ in the end.

This is the biggest rip off of the American taxpayers since the orchestrated financial crisis(which helped all of the same people and their marxist goals). There are very evil people running this country into the ground and it’s time for patriots that are on the side of America, to start exposing it loud and clear!
