(CBS) Fisherman Kin Van Nguyen was up early this morning but not to fish. Along with other Vietnamese fishermen, he was applying for food stamps. There are about 32,000 Vietnamesse who live on the Gulf and rely on fishing. Nguyen had a message for BP through an interpreter.

If the stuff I’ve been reading about that dispersant they’ve been using (NALCO)is true - those people need to get the hell out of there and quick.
We will find by the president handpick government representative handing out money that most fishermen and injured parties were black.
The money won’t do them any good if they are dying.
I feel sorry for these people but one thing caught my eye. The need for the Vietnamese guy to talk through an interpreter. Where I work, there is a Vietnamese guy that has been in states for about 35 years or so. The guy still plays dumb like he can’t understand English. It is a frigging con game that they are playing on us. If you have lived in this country for 35 years, then you can learn the language, or get out. And don’t tell me what the South Vietnamese did for us in the Viet Nam War.
We attended a high school graduation party on Monday (daughter of our neighbor) and there was a Vietnamese couple there, the parents of the daughter’s boyfriend. Both parents, who were born in Vietnam, spoke perfectly adequate English, and the son is going to NC State on a full scholarship.
I think I ate 8 Vietnamese eggrolls. The gentleman had made them himself after work.
Yup...my expectation too.
