From the comments section: The Sunderland home is very modest. I can comment on the neighborhood because I live in it myself. The situation is such that a significant number of the homes have 3-4 families living in them. Yea, it is that type of neighborhood. The house is furnished in "early yard sale." I mean that not to insult them, but to point out the modest way they live. I've never known them to buy a new car. In fact, during the time I've known them a few of their vehicles have run on the ragged edge.

There is a postage stamp sized section of Thousand Oaks called “old town”, where mostly Mexicans live. That must be it

Homes in Thousand Oaks range from 500,000 to 6 million.
