Sounds like the Bubble boy’s dad.
Isn’t it too early for a Balloon Boy sequel?
At least the CO boy was actually safe, no thanks to his crazy dad.
Broke huh?
Who, might I ask, is going to pay for her rescue?
He’s broke, got 7 kids and a pregnant wife. I assume that the taxpayers are supporting this lowlife and his family?
And all for failing to sail solo around the globe...Hucksters...
Balloon boy part dieux?....
“The father of teen sailor Abby Sunderland told The Post yesterday that”
Man, newspapers can be nasty. Guy calls up, hawks his story, lets a few details slip, bam, they have a hitpiece.
So where are all the Freepers this morning claiming that criticizing this irresponsible pair of parents makes one a Communist?
This guy needs to listen to Code Pink and pull out.
What a shameless media whore. He sent his daughter out for a winter sail around the southern ocean, a time of year that fully-crewed professional racing boats won’t contemplate. All so she would not “age out” of the glory of being youngest.
The man has no shame.
But it's not going to stop until people stop buying the product -- and I see no evidence of that happening. Sigh.
Sailing is the family business. She is just following in her Dad’s footsteps.
Too bad charlie sheen followed in his dad’s.
“All seven children are home-schooled.”
From what I know, his only redeeming quality.
Joint venture with octomom and Bubble Boys dad? Oh yeah, and Jon and Kate, too. Directed by Michael and Dina Lohan.
Just what we need- a reality TV series about scheming parents using their kids to achieve 15 minutes of fame and control of a trust fund
Pushing one’s children beyond what they want is not unheard of. Many tennis players were pushed like that, also golfers and other sports.
But although these kids may have been a bit miserable, they were not in danger.
I think this is sick behavior on the part of the father and wish he wouldn’t get a dime, altho he probably will.
Ironically, the thing that made the story front page news was the storm and rescue. I’ll bet he was secretly a little happy about that.
Before I knew any info on the Dad or family, I voiced an opinion about the irresponsibly of parents who would let a young girl take on this dangerous trip. I see nothing that has changed my opinion.
Of course he did, same with the Everest kid climber and any other reprehensible 15 minute of gamer out there using their kids to make a buck, our moral fabric is in shreds....
