some of that can be chalked up to training, which they would be doing anyway. The only way you can train for S&R is to go out and do it.
Normally, yes, except it’s a long weekend here and they wouldn’t have normally been training.
(Of course, on ops, you fly whenever you have to, but on home soil, they generally keep close to a normal work week, for other purposes).
