Hundreds Arrested in Cross-Country Campaign Against Drug Cartel
Washington Times ^ | 6.11.2010 | Mike Levine

The arrest of more than 2,200 persons and seizure of 74 tons of illicit drugs in 18 states in a massive nationwide undercover investigation by federal, state and local authorities has revealed that Mexican drug smuggling organizations are well entrenched in the United States, especially along the U.S.-Mexico border.

But U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Acting Administrator Michele M. Leonhart said the nationwide arrests as part of "Project Deliverance" - including 429 arrests on Wednesday - inflicted what she called a "debilitating blow to the network of shadow facilitators and transportation cells controlled by the major Mexican drug cartels."

I'm in favor of decriminalizing marijuana and have severe reservation about the WOD.

However, anything that George Soros is behind can't be good.

For the non-citizens.....it seems to me that since the bright lights in Washington are in the process of scrapping the C-141, that action should be stopped and this magnificent work horse put back in service flying the 400,000 illegal aliens and dope smugglers back to Mexico City etc. and let those authorities deal with them.

It would be far cheaper than housing them in the proposed resorts called Obama prisons, where they are fed, clothed, taught, given all sorts of perks etc. than it would be to fly them back to their own country.

Since John McCain is the ranking Republican on the United States Senate Armed Services Committee, he should head up the United States Operation Air Lift Returning Aliens To Mexico etc.

Michael B. Donley, AFS and Robert Gates should have no quarrel with this as it will help enormously states that are in the red primarily because of the illegal aliens costing the taxpayer enormous amounts of tax $$$ to keep them in a lifestyle they have never had before but are becoming accustomed to. I see no reason to tie our court system up with any of these people...if they are in jail for crimes against the United States other than getting caught entering the country illegally, then put them to work busting rock....no nice resort ambiance.

The point is for us to think they are doing something about the border issues so we will let them pass amnesty.
