One way or another pre-nuptial agreements get nullified all the time. So will that absurd 75 million dollar cap on damages.

As far as BP *voluntarily* paying damages. I don’t believe that for a second. If I were president I would be demanding BP put aside 5 billion in an escrow fund to show good faith. This fund to be paid out to parties it has harmed.

BP has trashed the Gulf coast, it is getting worse every day, they had better pay out billions in damages or go straight to hell.

I agree that it’s a terrible mess and that it sucks that legally the taxpayers are on the hook for everything above the federal liability cap, but by what legal authority can the president demand a foreign company operating in international waters to pay for anything when the law is crystal clear as to the extent of liability?

Obummer can huff and pull all he wants, but anything BP pays above $75MM is voluntary.

Forgetting 0bama.....Thee will be billions in lawsuits filed and I predict the 75 billion dollar cap will set aside with or without BPs consent. It will be circumvented and US judges will approve it

I am prepared....When I have another, “Oh, $hit!” moment, which seems to be daily, I just keep praying, I think of my grandparents who were strong and go through the depression, and I think, these thugs will NOT take me and my family down!

We must be soul sisters because I was just telling my mom (after watching Glenn Beck)that if these commies think they are taking over this country, they had better think again. I will fight communism on the front lines if it ever comes to that and gladly die doing it too. The comforting thing is that there are millions of other folks just like us and God is not neutral in this fight. He is on our side. These people are evil.

For now, we pray that our countrymen wake up to the commies directing the destruction of our nation. We can stop them at the voting booths in November if we stand together.

For the first time in my life, I am not seeing just a difference of opinion, which I can handle, somewhat :), but I feel like I am under attack, for real.

Everything I have ever known in my life, things that I have taught my children, all things that make us who we are are being attacked.

I have said to my brother, is this what the Germans who did’t buy into Hitler felt like, or the Cuban’s when Castro came into power?

Other than protecting my children, I have never felt such a strong desire to fight to the death if need be.

Please note the last option. This will be needed to fend off an army of federal agents wanting to shove Obamacare down your throat.

I have noticed many more NRA stickers on vehicles lately. Yesterday, a van parked across from me and the back window had a pretty large Gasden flag, that was printed off the internet and taped to the inside of his back window...it was an elderly man with a cane, that got out...made me smile!

Well..you will know it’s coming when they come for our guns. They will have to take that constitutional right away first, before they send us to the ‘re-education’ camps. Years ago, I use to think people that believed the commies were still active in America were nuts. Not anymore....not in a long time. It’s real and these people are now running our government.

For the record, this is exactly what happened after the first IPCC report on climate change. The scientists, few though they were, signed off on a draft, which was then altered and falsified by bureaucrats, literally in the dark of night on the way to the printers.

The leftwing crackpots are still lying, I see.

The EPA does have the authority to request the arrest of a lawbreaking governor. That is not a constitutional power since there is no enumerated power to protect sucker fish, but thanks the the Woodrow Wilson types, that’s the way 95% of our judges have been indoctrinated. It doesn’t matter if the oil was going to kill some endangered fish regardless. The EPA hates oil and wants us to suffer for our ‘addiction’ to prosperity and mobility. They will cut their nose to spite their face in a heartbeat if it hurts ‘Big Oil’.
