The distance between the president and the people is beginning to be revealed.
The deepening notes of disenchantment with Barack Obama now issuing from commentators across the political spectrum were predictable. So, too, were the charges from some of the president's earliest enthusiasts about his failure to reflect a powerful sense of urgency about the oil spill.

The man in the White House is as different from me as is possible, and us both still be human males. There isn’t an aspect to the man that I like. And there is nothing about him that makes me think he should be president.
Read this at breakfast. It started off great. Thought she had an interesting point going, but then it kind of wandered off into the weeds. Dorothy was a big McCain supporter, so I’m not a big Dorothy fan, though.
It probably just confirms what I've known all along.

Excellent article, except for this:

Say, what? Has Obama shown ANYONE his birth certificate? Has he released any of his other records? What is “demented fringe” about demanding real proof that he is qualified to be president? He has lied about everything else, why not about this?
He acts like an alien because he is an alien. A Communist at heart. A Muslim at heart. A Kenyan slave trader at heart, much like his ancestors, with whom he prefers to identify.
And the odds are increasingly likely that he is, literally, an illegal alien, never even naturalized, since he couldn’t be bothered to do the paperwork.
And what is “demented fringe” about what polls have found to be roughly half of the country wondering whether there is anything in these “Birther” stories?
It’s not a fringe. It’s more than half the country. Why fall for these liberal lies about conservative fringe groups, which actually include most ordinary, thoughtful people in our country? Tea Party a fringe group? I think elections prove otherwise. Birthers a fringe group? I think not, despite the refusal of conservative pundits to discuss it.
His new fake birth certificate is being artificially aged as we speak.

It would have to be in the Dept of Health in Hawaii’s index, if it were real. In order to fabricate *that*, so many people would be involved, and so much chicanery and falsification, that I don’t think they could do it.
When all’s said and done, we’ll see if the purported “demented fringe” is either demented or fringe......
Poll after poll shows that more than half of the American People don't think this guy is on the level.
