Count me in. I despair of all the useful idiots who take anything the UN pronounces as anything but propaganda.

An “unbiased, non-partisan” probe being led by some of the most violent Muslim terrorist groups known today I’m sure....

What is our U.N. Ambassador Susan E. Rice doing, sitting on her thumbs? I wish we had John Bolton in there.

They do not know it, but they are condemning themselves.

Vilnai's remarks were made as organizers of the so-called Freedom Flotilla said they were preparing to send two more aid boats to Gaza.

Greta Berlin of the Free Gaza Movement told AFP the next attempt to run the blockade would not take place for several days.

"The Rachel Corrie (cargo ship) is currently located off the coast of Italy and the other boat is still being repaired," she said.

You can't make this stuff up.

Must be a flat-bottomed barge.

The Israeli PM may be a little uneasy if Obama is calling for a probe so soon after his Chicago vacation.

Great BO is going to piss off one of the only true allies we have in the middle east that gives us good intell. I think our government needs anal probing instead of the corrupt UN probing anything.

If the U.S. Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice did not veto this “condemnation,” we need a legitimate U.S. leader to publicly defend Israel. Sarah Palin could speak on behalf of the American people to state our support.

By the way, when Sudan offered to turn over Bin Laden to the U.S. before 9/11, Susan Rice is the one in the Clinton Administration who lead the argument (against Madeleine Albright) not to accept the offer. She is a dangerous fool.

On Gaza Flotilla Assault, UNSC Statement Leaves Vague Who Will Investigate

By Matthew Russell Lee

UNITED NATIONS, June 1 — The UN Security Council adopted a vague Presidential Statement at 2 am on Tuesday, in the wake of Monday’s assault by the Israeli Defense Forces on the flotilla to Gaza. Afterward, Inner City Press asked first the new President of the Council, Mexico’s Claude Heller, then US Ambassador Alejandro Wolff, what the provisions means. Their interpretations were entirely different.

The Presidential Statement calls for an investigation which is “prompt, impartial, credible and transparent.” US Deputy Permanent Representative Wolff told Inner City Press this means that Israel can do it.

Claude Heller, on the other hand, only Council President for less than three hours, said that it should be an independent investigation panel, named by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. Heller also told Inner City Press that the PRST’s reference to “the use of force” and “those acts” were both directed at the Israeli military. But the US and Israel, apparently, have another reading.

Non Council members also showed up. Sudan's Permanent Representative called Inner City Press to the side. I have something to say, he insisted. "Israel has written the communique of the International Criminal Court meeting in Kampala," he said. Inner City Press pointed out that Israel is not an ICC state party. Spain's Ambassador went into the Council without speaking, as did U.S. Deputy Permanent Representative Alejandro Wolff.

The video does not show when Israeli soldiers first opened fire (was it before or after being attacked with pipes and other objects?), which is a key point to be determined. The video does not show activists allegedly snatching guns from the soldiers. I think a probe is more likely to determine whether these allegations are true or fabrications.
