.22 FMJ rounds can be deadly. But not as deadly as .30 FMJ rounds traveling at the same velocity. For range (beyond 200 yds), penetration through material like cinder blocks, and first round kills, I'd like a cartridge that is actually adequate and legal for shooting deer. Goes double when the deer are shooting back.
An 30 isn’t as a 50.....where does it end ?
over my career I have been lucky to carry my choice of M4 or M1A.....each has its merits.
