NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Media organizations say they are being allowed only limited access to areas impacted by the Gulf oil spill through restrictions on plane and boat traffic that are making it difficult to document the worst spill in U.S. history.

Maybe some of the few remaining patriots working with NOAA, NASA, and DoD will leak some updated sat pics of just is really occurring along the shores of the Gulf w/ regards to the cleanup / containment.

OTOH, this story tells me this oil spill is at a Defcon 5 level. What would the American public do if they knew just how bad it REALLY IS?
How is the coast guard going to deny access to the entire Gulf coast, then the Keys, then the East coast, and anywhere else the blob travels? THis is going to really test the O’s propaganda machine and internet censoring capabilities.
I didn’t expect the junk shot to work, but I actually have some high hopes about this latest thingy they are going to try. It won’t stop the flow, but I think it will greatly impede it until the relief well is finished.
BTW, I wonder if the American public will be made aware of it when one of those relief wells becomes a PRODUCING well. You know they are drilling 2 and they will only plug the bad one and one of the relief wells.
Wonder how much O will be paid to allow this and to keep his mouth shut about it as he denies permits to all other oil companies.

It's BS the way the goobermint is not functioning.....just barking. All the goobermint has to do is bring together the world's best for this situation and make them & their resources available for hire by BP.
The relief wells have a 99% chance of stopping the flow, BUT, that will take time to get them in place. So, Barky goes and vacates and very little resources are put to work to contain and cleanup. There's no reason a multifaceted surface containment plan has been put to task.
The tanker /vaccuums should have been in the area where the majority of the oil is rising to the surface....and guess what they can move if that area shifts too.
The f'n morons in goobermint already know this and still no serious efforts on surface containment and cleanup at this point.
The socialist yahoos are using this disaster to create more control and more taxes not to mention the US ban on its offshore exploration and drilling.
The sheeple are too stupid to realize the rest of the world is still drilling and pumping offshore and laughing at the US, its people, and especially Barky.
Uh, I believe it is far, FAR WORSE than we know and Obama knows he will go down in a ball of flames when we do find out. It is going to seriously affect our food supply, thousands upon thousands of jobs, oil prices, tourism, the environment, etc.
I also THINK this is the reason he is so detached and angry, vacationing and playing golf. He cannot do a damned thing about it and I think the narcasist in him has basically “checked out” emotionally and mentally.
Instead of vacationing and golfing, he should be constantly showing a visible presence and trying to reassure the American people and gulf coast residents. As good a liar as he is, he just cannot do THAT and keep a straight face for very long. I have not read any confident comments made by La residents following his visit last week. Even the Dem senator Landrieu said this is going to cost him. (paraphrased)

It won’t stop it, but I think they will have limited success with it.

How many millions of idle / shut factory square footage in how many states could be opened up to start the manufacturing?
How many idle freight cars are sitting that could haul the raw materials to those factories and finished goods to the Gulf?
No, it's more important that we grow other parts of the goobermint and buy tougher condoms to given to teens in public schools.
How much stimulus money could be used for what you just described but was, instead, WASTED ON TOTAL BS!
Is there even a dime of that stiumulus money remaining?
If so, it needs to be spent on the gulf coast and reimbursed by BP.
When all is said and done, BP will get away with paying a tiny fraction of what they should pay. Read up on Exxon Valdez and IXTOC.
