I’m glad that the actual service chiefs are showing some spine on this. Secretary Gates and JCS Chairman Admiral Mullin are, metaphorically speaking, nothing more that catamites to the administrations & congress’ pederest inclinations on this critical issue.
This issue should NOT even be considered until after the November election and a new congress is sworn in. This will give the people the ability to speak. I do not believe that President Obama has any “mandate” anymore (if he ever did). This move is a desparation act to foist a bad policy on the nation before the, soon to be gone, congress changes because of their ineptness on so many issues.
