This is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen, I'm speechless when I watch it.

And here's a link of Jindal tired of waiting for approval, to build sand booms.

I saw that press conference, Bobby was angry, and I don’t blame him or the residents of the coastal areas for being angry one bit.

I don't blame him either. My husband and I are big Jindal fans (from what we know of him thus far), and we feel he would be a great candidate to Lighten up the White House after dismissing the darkness that currently resides there, so we found it interesting, him coming out with fervor in this regard!

Russia has had the same problems from time to time but you never hear about it. What do they do? They blow up the leak and seal it. Why haven’t we done that? BP has millions of dollars invested in the well. They don’t want it destroyed. Mean while, our coast line gets destroyed. Amazing.

I’m curious, I heard that blowing up the well was a consideration, how would they do it? Would the rock and debris from the bottom just pile on top, theoretically, and block the oil from escaping? I also heard that if all known remedies don’t work then we may have to wait for the well to run dry.

The sensationalism associated with this leak is amazing. BP is going to permanently cement the well in and not make a dime off it as you apparently alluding to. BP is doing all they can to stop this leak and I am sure no one wants this leak stopped worse than them. You speak of blowing up the well. How do you propose they do that?

Ask Russia. Evidently they have done it numerous times.

“This is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen, I'm speechless when I watch it.”

Are you a wussy? Do you lack comprehension of reality?

This is really, almost nothing. It's similar to a smokestack in the wilderness. Put a live camera on the roof of a cabin in the forest. “Hideous!” “Nauseating!”

Remember the kooks on the left have told us that this area will be DEAD FOR 50 YEARS!

That's bullshit.

It's a pity that there is a leak. It WILL be stopped.

Keep the faith, and watch the area clean it's self.

Have faith in Mother Nature.

And, by the way, drill baby, drill!

Check out this explanation of what we don’t see happening because it’s happening under water.

Russia used nukes to accomplish it too. Nuke the Gulf of Mexico? We can’t even get the people of this contry to support safe nuclear power. I believe Russia failed once when they tried to control a well using this method. The ramifications of the well not sealing using a nuclear device would be huge. Now the oil is flowing through radioactive rock. It could also create a situation where pumping mud from the relief well to control the blowout through hydrostatic pressure may not work. Think about that.

If the top kill method does not work in a couple of days then the next best option is the relief well. That always work.

BP knows what they are doing. They have experts that know far more than you and I working on a very complex problem. Just because it takes time to create a solution does not mean it is the end of the world.

“Are you a wussy? Do you lack comprehension of reality?”

I’m still laughing at this BS comment. I have friends in the seafood business in Louisiana, they told me that this disaster is potentially devastating to the entire industry. So yes, I think it is disturbing, and I blame the WH and the Dem leadership in Congress for being too slow to react to a situation they cannot blame, as much as they’d like to, on Bush and the Repubs.

I believe the greatest tragedy is that the fish doing cameos in the live camera don’t understand the grave danger.
